Who we are

This is the website of Mamanet USA, the operating name of Mamanet LA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit women's catchball league based in Tarzana, California. Our website address is https://www.mamanetusa.com. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, please reach us through our Contact page.

What we collect and why

When you register as a player we collect the information you enter on the registration form: your name, cell phone number, email address (optional), date of birth, home address, emergency contact, shirt size, playing role, and any notes you choose to add. We use this to place you on a team, run the league, and reach you or your emergency contact if you are hurt at a game. Your cell phone number is how you sign in.

When you sign a waiver we record the exact text you agreed to, the name you typed as your signature, the season, the date and time, and the IP address you signed from. This is kept as proof of the agreement.

When you pay a registration fee, payment is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number — Stripe processes the card and tells us only whether the payment succeeded. Stripe's privacy policy is at https://stripe.com/privacy.

Text messages (SMS)

During registration you may choose to opt in to receive text messages from Mamanet USA — game reminders, schedule changes, and league updates. This is optional: you can register and play without it, and it is never required to receive any other service.

If you opt in, message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and reply HELP for help.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with any third parties for their own marketing. Your number is used only to send you the messages described above. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Cookies

We set a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to work — chiefly to keep you signed in after you log in. These contain no advertising or tracking data. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Who we share your data with

We share your data only with the service providers that make the site run: Stripe for payment processing and, if you opt in to texts, our SMS provider to deliver those messages. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

How long we keep your data

We keep your player record and waiver signatures for as long as you are involved with the league and as long as we are required to for legal and administrative reasons. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Contact us through the Contact page. Some records we are obliged to keep for legal or administrative purposes.
